He has developed and marketed technologies and platforms to help influence and propel the M&E industry into the future. For example, in the 2000’s Stephen Co-Chaired the Marketing Committee of the BCDF (Broadband Content Delivery Forum). This committee focused on developing new standards for business and pricing models for the distribution, delivery, and protection (Digital Rights Management) of Digital Music and Video Content. 100+BCDF members included MTV, Disney, NBCi, Bertelsmann, BBC, Microsoft, Inktomi, Nortel and HP. His committee’s research and submissions to various industry standards groups helped change the course of MPEG 5 through MPEG 7 over the last decade.- especially business and pricing models for the future of digital music and video distribution that’s now in widespread use today (including OTT and new S1 and VOD architectures). He’s been a speaker at many conferences worldwide including Streaming Media East/West, Digital Hollywood and MIPTV/Cannes Film Festival. Also, Stephen is an American Mixing and Recording Engineer and Producer. With millions of Streams in the last few years and many Chart-Topping releases on major and independent labels prior to that, including: Elektra, Atlantic, CBS/Columbia/Sony, Charisma and Chrysalis records, Stephen is all about helping artists achieve their vision. His ears were shaped early-on while working at Electric Lady and other top studios diving deep into the Rock and R&B genres in the UK, New York and Philly. He is also deeply into Independent Music Label Operations including Distribution and Marketing. And currently runs his own Music Label – Worldly Distribution LLC.
